Berinsfield Garden Village development is currently supported by the following strategic documents, engagement and feasibility reports:
2011 – 2035 Local Plan: Berinsfield Garden Village includes undeveloped land to the east of the existing settlement on the former airfield which has been allocated in the South Oxfordshire District Council (SOCD) Local Plan (adopted December 2020, strategic allocation Policy STRAT10i).
2020 – 2024 Corporate Plan: A key project supporting the Corporate Plan theme, ‘Homes and infrastructure that meet local needs’ is to transform Berinsfield into a thriving Garden Village with improved facilities that are developed in line with the community’s needs and aspirations
Berinsfield Parish Treescape Report: This report is intended to give a broad indication of the natural capital benefits that treescapes can bring to Berinsfield parish and of the opportunities to increase them.
Berinsfield Housing Need Study 2019: Opinion Research Services (ORS) was commissioned by South Oxfordshire Council to prepare a Housing Needs Assessment for the parish of Berinsfield. This study aims to provide evidence for the size and tenure of dwellings required and to consider wider issues around housing need in Berinsfield.
